Con el objetivo de impulsar una movilidad sustentable, el ayuntamiento de San Mateo Atenco autorizó destinar recursos para subsidiar la compra de bicicletas por parte de sus ciudadanos, así como para brindarles capacitación sobre cultura vial.
Mediante el programa “Adelante en Bici”, el municipio apoyará con una parte del precio de una bicicleta por usuario, quien deberá inscribirse a una convocatoria que será lanzada para este fin.
Al respecto, el presidente municipal, Julio César Serrano González, aseveró que con esta acción, el ayuntamiento avanza en el cumplimiento del Objetivo 11 de la Agenda 2030 “Ciudades y Comunidades Sostenibles” y del Objetivo 13 “Acción Por el Clima”, ello sumado a que en el municipio, una gran cantidad de personas ya usa la bicicleta como medio habitual de transporte.
El programa está dirigido a ciudadanos de 18 a 65 años del municipio de San Mateo Atenco, que cuenten con disponibilidad de tiempo para cursar seis horas del curso de capacitación distribuida en tres fines de semana, denominado “Bici-Escuela”.
Los interesados en ser beneficiados con este subsidio deberán registrarse los próximos 25 y 26 de abril en las oficinas de la Segunda Regiduría ubicadas dentro del palacio municipal y cubrir un monto de 850 pesos para la adquisición de la bicicleta, cuyo costo total será cubierto por el ayuntamiento.
La entrega de las bicicletas se hará el domingo 19 de mayo en un evento en el marco de la rodada ciclista mensual.
Cabe mencionar que la Bici-Escuela no tiene costo y podrán tomar el curso todas las personas que ya utilicen la bicicleta como medio de transporte en el municipio.
