Hasta el momento no hay motivo para modificar o cancelar la procesión de Viernes Santo
No descartan tomar medidas preventivas y hasta suspender la procesión de Viernes Santo, si las autoridades sanitarias así lo deciden, ante los casos de coronavirus en México, indicó Sergio Valdivia Bermúdez, representante de la Arquidiócesis de Puebla en el Comité organizador.
El Padre Valdivia Bermúdez dijo que no es la primera vez que hay una alerta sanitaria de este tipo, y recordó que en 2009 con la influenza AH1N1 se tomaron medidas como cerrar un domingo los templos y suspender misas, para evitar contagios.
En el caso del coronavirus, hay que mencionar que la Iglesia Católica emitió recomendaciones como evitar el “saludo de la paz” y los fieles recibirán de los sacerdotes la Comunión en la mano y no en la boca, hasta nuevo aviso.
Cuestionando sobre si hay alguna indicación desde el Vaticano, luego de que en Roma se tomó la decisión de cerrar la Plaza y la Basílica de San Pedro a los visitantes, ante el aumento de casos de coronavirus, dijo que en el caso de Puebla, donde aún no hay una situación de alarma, como en otras ciudades del mundo, estarán pendientes de las indicaciones de las autoridades sanitarias.
“Estaremos pendientes de lo que nos indiquen las autoridades correspondientes, y nosotros tendremos que ir ajustándonos a lo que nos vayan diciendo, mientras tanto, tenemos casi un mes para seguir en la preparación (…) La Iglesia siempre está al pendiente y obediente de las indicaciones sanitarias que nos dé el gobierno; ya se empezaron a tomar medidas y, si se incrementan, nosotros también seremos obedientes”.
En tanto, los preparativos de la procesión siguen su curso y está programada para el viernes 10 de Abril a las 11:30 horas, con la participación de seis imágenes: la Virgen de los Dolores, Jesús de las tres caídas, Nuestra Señora de la Soledad, el Niño Doctor de Tepeaca, El Señor de las Maravillas y Jesús Nazareno.
Se espera 160 mil participantes y el recorrido será el habitual, desde el atrio de catedral saldrá por la 16 de Septiembre para entrar a Juan de Palafox, después la 2 norte hacia la 4 oriente hasta la 11 norte, posteriormente tomar Avenida Reforma y volver por la 16 septiembre al atrio de la Catedral.
