Así se vivió la 77º edición de los Premios de la Academia Británica de las Artes Cinematográficas y de la Televisión, en el Royal Festival Hall de Londres.
En el camino a los Oscars, nos hemos encontrado con muchas sorpresas y momentos icónicos en esta temporada de premiaciones, y por supuesto, no podemos negar que los Premios BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) 2024 serían impredecibles. Antes de los SAG (Screen Actors Guild Awards) Awards y los Oscar, estos premios le dan una idea al público de los favoritos antes de que la Academia los premie, aunque es una mera suposición, ya que al final nos podemos encontrar con sorpresas.
Citando el ejemplo más reciente, en la edición pasada All Quiet on the Western Front (Sin novedad en el frente), de Edward Berger, se llevó los premios a la Mejor película y al Mejor director, por delante de la ganadora del Oscar a la mejor película: Everything Everywhere All at Once (Todo en todas partes al mismo tiempo). Esto con referencia a los favoritos de este año, Poor Things y Oppenheimer.
Recordando en este tenor que, Austin Butler, Cate Blanchett, Barry Keoghan y Kerry Condon se llevaron a casa los premios de Mejor actuación en lugar de los posteriormente oscarizados Brendan Fraser, Michelle Yeoh, Ke Huy Quan y Jamie Lee Curtis. Veremos entonces quien se lleva al hombre dorado el 10 de marzo.
