Juan Antonio Arriaga, alumno de la licenciatura en Biotecnología y miembro de la empresa denominada “Greenfluidics”, comentó que el grupo está integrado por 25 estudiantes de diversas ramas que han trabajado en la integración de microalgas y nanoparticulas de carbono en agua para la concentración de radiación solar que permite de inicio producir energía, calor, oxígeno y absorber hasta 3.5 toneladas de dióxido de carbono al año.
El investigador de la facultad y asesor del proyecto, Miguel Mayorga Rojas, subrayó que además de estos beneficios, la conjunción de las tecnologías mencionadas, ofrece activos para acelerar el retorno de inversión del bio-panel, ya que con su uso se pueden desarrollar productos comercializables que representarían un ingreso para sus propietarios.
“Esos activos, son básicamente el generar bonos de carbono, que pueden ser comercializados, también certificados de energías limpias, también es una minería de monedas digitales, solar coint y también permitiría hacer transacciones asociadas a bioproductos”.
Dijo así que la patente del proyecto ya ha sido registrada a nivel nacional y se busca que se otorgue una anivel internacional, pues se trata de una tecnología única en el mundo que le ha merecido incluso el reconocimiento de la iniciativa Mission Innovation como una de las soluciones en generación de energías limpias.
“En el mundo, hay uno en Alemania que sólo usa microalgas pero no lo integra con nanofluidos, entonces es una tecnología única en el mundo, por eso es que se está registrando como patente internacional”.
