Enfatizó que en el renglón de alimentación y nutrición se entregaron canastas alimenticias a más mil familias en estado de vulnerabilidad. Asimismo, se benefició a más de mil 500 personas con la creación de huertos Hortadif, con lo cual se garantiza entre la población infantil el acceso a una alimentación sana y sustentable.
Angelita Jiménez destacó que en el periodo de su gestión la institución ha distribuido más de 15 mil desayunos fríos y calientes, en planteles de educación preescolar y primaria. Para cumplir con ese objetivo se conformaron comités internos integrados por padres de familia en todas las instituciones educativas.
Se expidieron más de mil 598 certificados médicos a usuarios de la unidad de rehabilitación e integración social y se otorgaron más de mil 800 consultas de medicina general. Se capacitaron a madres de familia del municipio para atender de manera primaria enfermedades diarreicas y respiratorias agudas.
La titular del DIF destacó que la salud mental tiene por objeto el bienestar emocional psicológico y social de las personas, por lo que con el objeto de dar una atención profesional a los problemas de salud mental se otorgaron 300 consultas psicológicas a niñas, niños, adolescentes, adultos mayores, padres y madres de familia, y se encuentran en tratamiento psicológico 228 personas.
